Fully furnished room available to move in from 30th March 2019 at The Stories, Rockville MD. This is genuinely one of the best places I have lived in; it is spacious, bright and feels like a real home.
We are on the first floor of the Stories apartment complex. The flat has an open plan kitchen/living room/dining area with hard wood flooring, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (both en suite) and a balcony. Both rooms have walk-in closet space and the flat has a built in washer and dryer. All furniture is provided with the room (bed, desk, chair, bedside table, 4 cube storage organizer) and the kitchen is fully equipped (fridge-freezer, electric oven, microwave, dish water, all kitchen utensils). The Stories also provides an outdoor swimming pool, gym, party room, package/mail room, cinema room, computer room and outdoor grill space. Outdoor and indoor parking is also available.
The location of the flat is ideal. The Congressional Plaza shopping centre (shops, restaurants, cafes, salon, supermarket) is a 2 minute walk away, Westfield Montgomery Mall is a 25 minute bus journey (route 26 bus stop is outside the flat) and Twinbrook metro (red line trains direct to D. C.) station is a 15 minute walk. I have lived here without a car for the last 18 months and it is perfectly manageable! Location is also ideal for employees at NIH, the journey door to door using the metro is 30 minutes and the bus route 101/driving takes 20 minutes.
Rent is $1250 per month (including internet), water bill is $25 and electricity bill ranges from $29-57 depending on time of year (this is the amount each person pays per month). Therefore total costs are approximately $1318 per month per person. Deposit for the flat is $700 each (refundable).
Laura, the current flatmate is Spanish, super lovely, friendly and works at the NIH as a postdoc researcher. I have loved living with her so I want to find an equally lovely, easy-going and considerate flatmate to replace me. I will be moving on 30th March, therefore I would like to have someone confirmed 2 weeks prior to my move-out date (by the weekend of 16th/17th March) to allow time for background checks and resigning of the contract with the leasing managers. The current lease runs until 22nd August 2019 with opportunity for renewal.
